Activated carbon filter cartridges filter out dissolved organic substances, odour components, residual chemicals or stains. There are primarily used in:
• Water treatment (to remove chlorine, pesticide and residual ozone)
• The beverage industry (to neutralise flavour and odour defects)
• Chemical production (to collect solvent residues or reaction by-products)
• Pharmaceutical and cosmetic processes (to remove colour and odour components)

What versions are there?

We can supply several different kinds of activated carbon filter cartridges, namely:

• Bound activated carbon: less channelling and dust release. These are well suited for food-grade applications.
• Individual carbon cartridges: maximum absorption capacity with short contact time
• Carbon block elements: blocks of compressed activated carbon that remove both particles and dissolved substances.
• Impregnated carbon filters: carbon impregnated with metal salts or acids, targeting specific contaminants such as sulphur compounds or amines.

Activated carbon filter cartridges are, furthermore, compatible with standard DOE or O-ring housings and available in different lengths and with different connections.
